In Japan, in the mountains of the Kumano Peninsula, some concrete architecture on the mountainside prevents landslides. In 2011, a typhoon had caused the destruction of the land and of many villages. This event with human causes is used as a starting point for French photographer Julien Guinand to describe a different space, and convene the work of Minakata Kumagusu, a pioneer in the ecology-social cohesion having lived on the peninsula.
